This fully responsive website is built upon SiteCore’s Customer Engagement Platform, a cutting edge platform that connects channels, automates engagement, provides personalized user experiences and is powered through an flexible, enterprise-grade content management system (CMS). Launching is Spring of 2014, this platform will deliver personalized content based on profiles, personas and visitor analytics on websites, mobile devices, tablets and email programs. Website and mobile app (below) were both designed and developed in conjunction with Blue Tube Interactive.

Leveraging the latest in interface design this mobile app also provides local savings & discounts through GPS positioning and a “passbook” membership ID card built within the app. Members and non-members can download this app for hour by hour forecasts, tides at a glance, full screen animated radar and click to call assistance.

Phil Mastrangelo, owner of Race Rock Oysters, is proud to take part in cultivating the budding appellation of the Eastern Long Island oyster. Race Rock Oysters come from the pristine, clear waters of the Peconic Bay and the branding’s clean, crisp direction mimics the Bay’s clarity. A delicate, fresh palate of sea greens and blues as flowing watercolor accents adorn advertising pieces like waves drawing gently back across the shore. The titular Race Rock Mermaid featured in the logo was adapted from a drawing done by matriarch and photographer of the Mastrangelo clan, Holly. Here we have developed a fresh, modern, and sophisticated brand strategy for an exciting new company.

Soon to be launched, the Race Rock Oysters website will feature a clean and minimal responsive design with full galleries, blog, and integrated e-commerce.

The Sidor family knows their potatoes! These locally grown potato chips are famous in New York because of their field-fresh taste, all natural Kettle Cooked preparation and the unique gourmet flavors. Exclusive potato chip of the US Open, as well as, exclusive Hamptons restaurants these chips can be found in local gourmet grocery stores, Dean & DeLuca, Tavern on the Green and now on-line. The e-commerce web solution is managed through an custom built but easy to use WordPress CMS administration module.

Syron Design helped the Sidor family launch 3 new flavors in 2013 including Sea Salt & Vinegar, Rosemary & Garlic and Cheddar & Onion.

How do you transform an empty 1857 Historic Mansion into a elegant bridal destination in a day! This non-profit needed to build a website to generate enough money to maintain the property and continue to restore the mansion. With a minimal budget we leveraged rented furniture, props and a local couple – and transformed the property into “princess destination wedding location”.

Founder, Catherine Engelmeyer had been blogging for years and had built up quite a following. Known for blogging about “period” design as well as movements and trends we launched a beautiful email newsletter as part of the site redesign.

Creative Director, Brand Strategist & Owner

Prior to opening Syron Design in 2006, Colleen was Creative Director and Web Development Director at DeSantis Briendel in New York City. There she worked on clients such as Pfizer, The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, FGIC, Symyx and Nextel. Her experience includes work at print design firms, PR agencies, interactive design agencies, advertising agencies, publishing companies and strategic branding companies. She received her master’s degree at the School of Visual Arts and has taught there and at Parsons School of Design. She now is also a Assistant Professor of Practice at the University of Nebraska, Lincoln.

For the last 25 years Kirk has been working on issues of social inequality and how small scale issues of family, hope, thought, and action interweave with larger question of industrial resource development and capital accumulation. He serves as Director of the REACH Lab — a research shop dedicated to Research, Evaluation, and Analysis for Community Health at the University of Nebraska. After many years in New York City, he continues to collaborate with Ric Curtis, Bilal Khan, Anthony Marcus, Ernie Drucker, and Travis Wendel as part of an interdisciplinary research team interested in issues of social health and social structure.

Mary graduated from SUNY Binghamton at the tail end of 2012 with a BA in Studio Arts: Graphic Design and English. She immediately found her place here at Syron Design. Ecstatic to be doing work she loves, she faces every new challenge with bright enthusiasm.
